Triumph and Defeat

I release the past, living in the now and looking towards the future.

t’s easy to get caught up in the moment when we have great triumphs or face defeats. But there will always be a time after. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey in the manner of a king, he was praised and lauded. He moved on from that moment. Days later, he was charged, executed, and denied by Peter. A few days later, he overcame death.

As long as we live, time does not stand still. Today’s triumph is tomorrow’s memory. Yesterday’s defeat is today’s lesson. It is important to keep up with the present moment and what will be needful as actions in the near future. Dwelling on the past, good or bad, is a distraction to release.

Mark 11:9, “And those who were in front of him and those who were behind him were crying and saying, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord;”
