Strong, Loving Faith

My faith is strong and loving. Love makes my faith more flexible and resilient, and strength makes my faith more durable. I can weather the storms of life. I can hold fast until a new and glorious dawn.

ne way that Unity ministers have interpreted Matthew 18:20 is that Jesus is speaking of our twelve spiritual faculties. Where two or more of our faculties are combined, their power is multiplied. We gain more from combining Faith and Wisdom or Love and Renunciation. We can also combine Faith, Love, and Strength.

Faith alone is brittle and weak as Peter showed in denying Jesus. Strength added to our Faith makes it harder to break, like carbon and iron form steel. Love tempers the steel of strong faith. It makes it flexible, able to bend without breaking.

Let us have a strong, loving faith that secures us through the tempests around us and holds us fast to our course of Truth.

St. Matthew 18:18-20, “Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will be released in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you are worthy on earth, anything that they would ask will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”
