Gracious

I am gracious in my interactions, for the Lord is in every one of us.

ome say that it is better to treat things like people than people like things. Let us be gracious to all we meet, no matter how others act towards us. Let us be humble in our approach to others. Let us try to center ourselves as we start each new conversation, so that we remember that we are children of God interacting with other children of God.

Aspiring to graciousness cannot harm us in any way, being charitable, courteous and polite, cordial, and clement. We need not wait and return grace for grace. We need not take offense if others are not gracious towards us, for our graciousness grows from within. Let us practice our graciousness with everyone we meet.

Philippians 5:5, “Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.”
