Love One Another

I love my neighbor as myself because we are all children of and connected to the one divine presence, God.

eeing people as others can be easy. They have bodies separate from our bodies. They look different than we look. They do things that we would never do, or at least not admit to in public. Surely they must be driven by a different mind than that which drives us.

The Truth, though, is that we are petals on roses of the same rosebush. We may be petals on the same rose and quite close. Or we may be from separate roses, maybe one fully unfolded while the other is still in bud. Yet we are alike. We have experienced or will experience the same growth. We can choose to see otherness, or we can choose to know our relation.

Luke 10:27, “He answered, saying to him, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
