Mother’s Blessing

Every mother conveys her blessings. It is mine to find and accept those blessings passed on to me.

hat do we think when we hear the word “mother?” Do we think of comfort when we are injured or ill? Do we think of early lessons in life and the discipline that came with them? Do we think of good cooking or a clean home? Or the opposite? Do we think of certain phrases our mothers used?

Whatever we think of, whether stereotypical or unique, each mother grants her offspring certain blessings. Whether it is the blessing of life itself or many other blessings that have shaped us into who we are today, they have given their best blessings to each of us. Let us consider how our mothers have blessed us this day, and have it bring comfort.

Isaiah 66:13, “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
